Frozen Throne

Cryomancer — Crowd Control / Debuff

While the Pyromancer is busy being loud, you're quietly winning fights by making sure the other guy can't move, can't fight, and can't feel his fingers. The Cryomancer doesn't kill you fast — she kills you inevitably.

Death by Degrees

Every Cryomancer spell feeds the same engine: chill stacks. Every Frost Bolt, every tick of Frost Aura, every Splash — they all push the target one step closer to the freeze threshold. Hit four stacks and the Absolute Zero passive kicks in: 30 cold damage and a full freeze. Everything the Cryomancer does is either building toward that moment or exploiting it.

Your spells drain hydration instead of a special resource, so stay near water sources and carry containers. Your weapons — water gun, spears, and bone club — are finishers for frozen targets. The spells do the real work. A dehydrated Cryomancer is just someone holding a spear.

The Chill Engine

Frost Bolt

Your core spell, and it's on a 1-second cooldown. Each hit adds a chill stack. Land four in a row and the target eats 30 cold damage and freezes solid for a full second. The cadence is hypnotic: bolt, bolt, bolt, bolt, shatter. If your aim is good, you can chain-freeze a target indefinitely.

Blizzard

The capstone. An 8-second ice storm in a 15-meter AoE that hammers everyone inside with cold damage and chill stacks every tick. In enclosed spaces this is a death sentence. In open fields, it's a very persuasive "go somewhere else" button. 90-second cooldown — plan around it.

Ice Wall

Creates a physical wall of ice at your aim point that lasts 12 seconds. On paper it sounds simple. In practice, it wins more fights than raw damage ever will. Block a doorway during a raid defense. Split a zerg in half. Cut off someone's retreat. On a 25-second cooldown, creative placement is always available.

Ice Nova

8-meter AoE burst that deals 15 cold damage and instantly freezes everyone nearby for 2 seconds. Your panic button, your engagement opener, and your disengage tool — all on a 30-second cooldown. When things go sideways, this is the reset.

Built for the Cold

The Absolute Zero passive is your kill condition — four chill stacks triggers the burst and freeze. Everything else is setup. Meanwhile, Thermoregulation gives you +5 hydration per second and automatically clears wetness, keeping your resource bar full while everyone else is shivering. It's the anti-frustration passive that lets you focus on controlling the fight instead of managing your own thirst bar.

Controlling the Fight

The rhythm is everything. Frost Bolt four times to trigger Absolute Zero, then follow up with Ice Nova while they're still processing what happened. Don't waste Nova before you have stacks going — it's a finisher, not an opener. And remember that Frost Aura drains 10 hydration per second. Toggle it on when enemies are close, toggle it off when they're not. Leaving it running while farming is a great way to die of thirst mid-fight.

The Frost tree spans 18 nodes across 5 tiers — the most of any class — giving you enormous flexibility in how you build. But no matter the build, the core loop stays the same: stack chill, shatter, repeat.
